Train 1-5 Puzzle | Lanka Kade

A brilliantly satisfying wooden counting puzzle from Lanka Kade — five interlocking pieces that slot together to build a classic blue steam locomotive. The black boiler forms piece 1, with its distinctive mushroom chimney stack and large spoked wheel, then four sky blue pieces build the locomotive body from front to back: the running plate, the lower body with its white horizontal stripe, the cab with the waving driver, and the raised cab roof at the rear. Three black spoked wheels run along the base. The result is immediately recognisable as a classic steam engine — the kind that makes train-loving toddlers very happy indeed.

The cab window on piece 4 shows a cheerful engine driver in a white peaked cap, waving with one hand raised — the same kind of irresistible character detail as the astronaut in the Rocket puzzle. At 104mm tall and 154mm wide, it’s a compact and chunky puzzle that sits perfectly in small hands. Made from MDF. Suitable from 10 months.
