Hedgehog 1-5 Puzzle | Lanka Kade

One of the most ingeniously designed puzzles in the Lanka Kade 1–5 range — five interlocking pieces that build a hedgehog by layering its spines from the inside out. The orange hedgehog body and face form piece 1, then four concentric arc-shaped spine pieces slot on in sequence: purple, sky blue, red and golden yellow, each one larger than the last and each edged with short painted radiating lines that represent the hedgehog’s individual spines. Children are literally building the spines outward, which makes the puzzle format feel completely natural to the animal it represents.

The hedgehog face on piece 1 is wonderfully expressive — a big round black nose, a cheerful curved smile and a curling orange ear. The four orange paws are painted at the base of the body. At just 97mm tall and 155mm wide, this is a compact and chunky puzzle that sits perfectly in small hands. Suitable from 10 months.
