Pigeon Organics’ Gingham Dress in Fig is cut in a bold large-scale gingham of deep plum and cream — a fig colourway so dark it reads almost like blackcurrant against white, with a woven cotton that holds its shape beautifully and drapes with real weight in the full skirt.

The centrepiece is the white Peter Pan collar, embroidered in the same deep plum thread as the gingham itself: on each collar point a large stylised flower head with spiky radiating petals, connected by curved stems to smaller star-shaped buds and leaf sprigs — dense, beautifully executed embroidery that makes the collar the focal point of the whole dress. Below the collar, rows of elastic smocking in matching plum thread gather the entire front bodice into a fitted, textured yoke before the skirt falls full and generous to a mid-thigh length. Long sleeves in the gingham fabric are finished with elasticated gathered cuffs, and the dress fastens at the back neck with a discreet opening. Made from GOTS-certified organic cotton.
