Lanka Kade’s 1–10 Digger Puzzle is a brilliant step up from the 1–5 puzzles — ten chunky interlocking pieces slot together to build a magnificent yellow JCB-style backhoe loader, complete with front bucket, rear arm and two chunky wheels. The pieces are numbered 1–10 in white and must be assembled in sequence: piece 1 is the black front bucket, piece 2 the front loader arm, piece 3 the small front wheel (grey with black gear tread and yellow hub), pieces 4–6 the body sections, piece 7 the large rear wheel (grey with black gear tread and yellow hub), pieces 8–9 the rear arm, and piece 10 the black rear bucket. The cab window shows a smiling child driver in a red top at the steering wheel. As children assemble the puzzle they count from 1 to 10 in sequence, building number confidence and fine motor skills with every piece.
